Brian Williams, OD

Board Certified Optometrist

A Board Certified Optometrist and co-owner of EyeCare Associates, Dr. Williams specializes in ocular disease with a wide range of technical training and experience. He is certified in and routinely performs anterior segment laser procedures, Yag laser procedures, photo refractive keratectomy (PRK), glaucoma-related laser treatments, and minor in-office surgical procedures. In addition to his 19 years of clinical experience, Dr. Williams is an experienced lecturer on subjects such as ocular disease, glaucoma, diabetes, and laser vision correction. He is one of the first doctors in Oklahoma using the SmartV laser for vitreolysis in eye floater removal. A past Director of the Oklahoma Optometric Association and a member of the American Academy of Optometry, Dr. Williams is actively involved with the optometric community. He is passionate about caring for his patients and is dedicated to providing the best vision care available.

An Oklahoma native, Dr. Williams was raised in a small farming community in southwest Oklahoma. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Southwestern State University and then graduated from Northeastern State University School of Optometry in 1994. Upon graduation, he completed a residency in ocular disease and refractive surgery in an ambulatory surgical center in Tulsa.

Dr. Williams is a member of the Tulsa Executives Association and a volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Oklahoma where he has been a “big brother” for more than 20 years.

George Goodman, OD, FAAO

Optometrist

Dr. Goodman was born and raised in Oklahoma City and passionately loves eye care. He started a private practice in 1994 and focused on primary care, with an emphasis on refractive surgery and dry eye diagnosis, management and treatment. In 2002, he partnered with a corneal specialist and opened a refractive surgery center. In 2007, he was recruited by TLC Laser Eye Centers to go to Chicago to become the Clinical Director for the National Medical Director of TLC. In 2011, he became the Senior Manager of Clinical Affairs for Refocus Group in Dallas, where he managed research sites in the US and EU. In 2014, Dr. Goodman returned to the world of refractive surgery and relocated to Denver to become a Clinical Director for TLC. Recently, Dr. Goodman became the Director of Cataract and Refractive Services for EyeCare Associates of South Tulsa.

He has authored 4 books, as well as numerous journal articles and newsletters. Including TLC’s national newsletter entitled “Focus on Co-Management”. He has been on the Speakers Bureau for multiple ophthalmic and pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Goodman has held Optometric licenses in Oklahoma, Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado and Montana, and in 2014, he became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). Early in his career, he served on both the ‘Board of Directors’ and the ‘Medical Advisory Board’ for the Oklahoma Lupus Association. For the last 15 years, Dr. Goodman has been a board member for the Optometric Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Society (OCCRS), the largest Optometric refractive surgery organization in the US. Dr. Goodman currently serves on the Executive Board as their Vice President and will become President of OCCRS in 2021.

Dr. Goodman received his Optometry degree from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry (NSUOCO – Class of 1994). Prior to attending NSUOCO, he attended Oklahoma State University (OSU). He has been in practice for 26 years.

Activities that Dr. Goodman enjoys participating in include: homebrewing, hockey, mountain biking, skiing, golf, tennis, water sports, aquariums, landscaping, fall foliage drives, camping, fishing.
