IPL (Intense Pulse Light) / OPE (Optimal Polychromatic Energy)
This polychromatic light pulses and targets dead, dying, and decaying meibomian gland cells to reduce inflammation caused by blood vessels and elevates the temperature of the meibomian glands to increase meibum production.
LLLT (Low Level Light Therapy)/Light Modulation
Two light modulation options are available for LLLT, red and blue. This type of therapy uses different wavelengths of light to stimulate mitochondria.
Red mask: This therapy stimulates mitochondria to promote ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) production. ATP is an organic compound that provides energy for many processes in living cells, in this case, the energy is used to increase/improve cellular activity and reduce inflammation.
Blue mask: Stimulates porphyrins and creates an antibacterial reaction treating demodex infestations and staphylococcal growth.
